Detroit, MI – The National Roller Hockey League would like to announce it will be holding its Inaugural Winter Meetings Thursday, February 28 & Friday, March 1, 2019. The Winter Meetings are by invitation only. The meetings are being held to discuss the NRHL season with current and future ownership groups; as well as, NRHL league suppliers & sponsors. “We are excited to conduct our Inaugural Winter Meetings for the NRHL. We have a lot to discuss with the groups joining the league; as well as presenting to finalize a few additional cities. We are excited to hear the presentations from prospective league sponsors & suppliers too,” said President Wiedenhoeft.
The Inaugural Winter Meetings will be conducted at the historic G.A.R. Building in Downtown Detroit. The G.A.R. building is owned by Mindfield - a Detroit based multimedia production company. Mindfield purchased the G.A.R. building in 2011, immediately investing more than $2 million to renovate the historical building. “The G.A.R. Building is a historical part of the Detroit area. It was listed on the national register of historic places in 1986. We can’t thank Mindfield enough for hosting our Winter Meetings” stated Commissioner Clouston.
The NRHL is close to granting two additional franchises. The new franchises shall be located in Pennsylvania & North Carolina. The NRHL is continuing to discuss franchise opportunities with groups from other locations as well. The National Roller Hockey League is working diligently on growing the sport in the United States, Canada & globally.
