The National Roller Hockey League is pleased to announce Port Huron will be the next home for a franchise. Port Huron has been home to professional hockey for 18 of the last 25 years. Sarnia, ON, Canada is home to the OHL Sarnia Sting with a passionate fan base. Port Huron is an incredible city during the summer. The Port Huron team will have a connection with former players and more.
We are conducting a ticket drive for the Port Huron franchise. Our first list is for the fans who want to be season ticket holders. Next is a list of fans who want group or individual game ticket information, followed by fans who are interested in team merchandise.
"Interested season ticket holders, single game & group tickets lists are significant for the business staff to connect with fans early," stated President Matt Wiedenhoeft. Matt continued, "We will be reaching out to people on these lists about upcoming events and announcements in Port Huron".
The NRHL recognizes it must have strong fan support in order to have a successful start and for a franchise's longevity. Commissioner Bob Clouston said, " The success of a franchise is based on the fans. The lists we are compiling can't be understated and will be utilized to engage all fans on the progress of their team".
This is the first announcement for the Port Huron team. An official press conference presenting the team name, logo and more will be announced by the end of the week.
